Jingle Up
‘Jingle Up‘ by Alexandra Verboom Fritz
Acrylic in 24 x 30 x 1.5 inch canvas
Jingle Up captures the long-standing ranching tradition of running in the horse herd before a day's work begins. Guided by a cowboy, the horses move together toward the corral, where the mounts needed for the day will be selected and saddled. Though less common today, jingling remains a reminder of the deep connection between working cowboys and the horses they rely upon.
The painting reflects the rhythms and traditions that have shaped ranch life for generations. Inspired by a Douglas Lake cowboy running horses off Cayuse Mountain in British Columbia, this piece celebrates a practice that speaks to both the heritage and daily realities of life on the range.
Framed in a natural unstained wood floater frame ready to be installed.
