Inspired by the perennial uncertainty of change, "The Grass Ain't Always Greener" depicts a cowboy guiding a mixed herd of cattle through a weathered gate into new pasture. Using oil paints with layered, expressive brushwork, I aimed to capture the richness of fall landscapes and the vitality of the cattle, emphasizing the blend of tradition and resilience. The scene invites reflection on the challenges and hopes that come with taking risks and making choices.
